Mr. Oliver "Jay" Latour

Oliver “Jay” Latour was 58 years old, a native of Mobile and longtime resident of Robertsdale, Alabama who passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Jay was a man of strong Christian faith who loved Jesus with all his heart and loved to share his faith with everyone he met. He was a lover of nature, animals, and the outdoors, and loved spending time on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico kayaking and surf fishing. He was a man who found beauty and opportunity in every situation and loved to dream and imagine. He was an avid reader. Jay enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and especially loved being Poppy to his three granddaughters. Jay is survived by his wife, Natalie P. Latour, son, Joseph Latour, step-son Brian Baltzell and daughter-in-law Natasha Latour, parents, Mr. Oliver J. Latour, Jr. and Mrs. Jane Latour, four siblings, Laura, Joan, David Latour, and Ellen (Rhett) Hubley, three granddaughters, Maddie, Emma, Olivette, his nephews Brett and Maverick Latour, and niece, Autumn (Adan) Olivarez. Jay will be greatly missed by his dog, Razor, and family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike who had the joy of loving, knowing, and experiencing his outreach and kindness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Robertsdale, AL on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. with Father Jim Morrison officiating. A visitation will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
