Mrs. Kay H. Ray

March 24, 1940 - April 2, 2019

Kay H. Ray, age 79, a resident of Loxley, AL passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Mrs. Ray was a member of Robertsdale First Baptist Church. She was active in the homebound ministry and was a servant at heart. Mrs. Ray enjoyed cross stitching and taking care of her plants, she had a green thumb. She loved her family and loved to cook. She was an immaculate house keeper and a fantastic wife. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her son, Michael David Ray and brother, Wayne Preston Hughes. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Jim Ray; son, Chris (Candy) Ray; daughter, Michelle Ray (Greg) Goolsby; brother, Robert E. (Peggy) Hughes; sister, Clotene (Burnis) Barrett; sister-in-law, Jerry Lynn Hughes; six grandchildren, Chad (Lacey) Ray, Ashley (Ryan) Vaughn, Anna (Matt) Flinn, Amy (Daniel) Haralson, Nick (Payton) Goolsby and Mike Goolsby; seven grandchildren, Reese Ray, Sidney Kay Ray, Brewer Vaughn, John Carson Vaughn, Addie Ryan Vaughn, Carter Haralson and Regan James Haralson; and baby Flinn on the way. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Robertsdale First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Robertsdale First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Robertsdale First Baptist Church.
