Mr. D. B. "Jack" Teague

October 20, 1932 - March 19, 2020

D. B. Teague (Jack), died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Jack was born October 20, 1932 in Gleason, Tennessee, to the late Dallas Teague and Evie Teague. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and distinguished himself in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Command Sergeant Major, serving in both the Korean and the Vietnam wars, and earning, among other medals and recognitions, a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Silver Star. He completed paratrooper training at Fort Benning, Georgia, coached the U.S. Army Rifle Marksman team, and was an elite marksman member of the President’s Hundred. Prior to serving in Vietnam, Jack taught military history at Oklahoma Military Academy, and after that war he oversaw ROTC at Arkansas State University while studying there and coaching their rifle team. Later, he bought and operated Gulf Shores Airport and FBO before officially retiring from professional life. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Constance Teague; brothers Joe Teague (Joan) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and George Teague of Uriah, Alabama; children Ricky Teague of Foley, Alabama, Jack Teague of Mobile, Alabama; Stephanie Moody (Joe), of Eight Mile, Alabama; and Jack Teague (Carrie), of Charlotte, North Carolina; stepchildren Matthew Willett (Natasha), of Silverhill, Alabama; and Nicole Hammons (William) of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joshua Moody, Samantha Teague, Sydney Teague, Sean Teague, Dallas Teague, Carlee Teague; and four step-grandchildren, Sophie Hammons, Evan Hammons, Penelope Willett, and Persephone Willett. Arrangements will be made at a future date.
