History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

When we sit down with a family, we have just one goal: to create a fitting, memorable and affordable service for their loved one. Together, we explore the wide variety of services and products available, as well as a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions.

Together, we'll design a memorial or funeral service that suits their needs now, and in the future. Families who come to us know that years from now, they will have deep peace-of-mind because in coming to us, they've done their best to honor their loved one.

Our History

Our History

Mack Funeral Home, Inc. was established in 1965 when Huey A. Mack, and his wife, Jean, decided to open a family owned funeral home. Huey was a native of Escambia County, Alabama and working at a funeral home in Atmore after graduating Gupton-Jones Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas.

Huey was told by some members of the community about the “Baldwin House” which was located on Highway 59. He met the daughters of Anita Baldwin who owned the home and property. The Macks bought the property which had been built in the early 1900’s for the Joe Baldwin Family. The original two story structure was a Sears and Roebuck Catalog House and was shipped by rail to Robertsdale from Chicago. The home had served as the Baldwin Family’s private residence and was a later a boarding house before becoming vacant for several years.

After completing most of the renovation work himself, Huey opened the funeral home in October of 1965. Through the years three additions have been added to meet the needs of the growing Central Baldwin Community. The facility is home to Mack Funeral Home, Mack Funeral Home Crematory and Mack Funeral Home Monuments. The Mack Family takes pride in being Baldwin County’s oldest family owned funeral home.

Huey Mack always valued personal service to each family served, a tradition that still continues. Family values, personal service and respect for everyone are vital components of the Mack Family tradition of funeral service.
