Mack Funeral Home, Inc. began in 1964 When Huey A. Mack, and his wife, Jean, decided to open a family owned funeral home. Huey was a native of Escambia County , Alabama and working at a funeral home in Atmore after graduating Gupton-Jones Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas , TX . Huey had heard of Robertsdale and the need for a funeral home there. At the time there were funeral homes in Foley, Fairhope and Bay Minette.

Huey was told by some members of the community about the “Baldwin House” which was located on Hwy 59. He met with the Daughters of Anita Baldwin who owned the home and property. The Mack's bought the property which had been built in the early 1900's for the Joe Baldwin Family. The original two story structure was a Sears and Roebuck Catalog House and was shipped by rail to Robertsdale from Chicago . The home had served as their private residence and was later a boarding house before becoming vacant for several years.

After completing most of the renovation work himself, Huey opened Robertsdale's first funeral home in October of 1965. Through the years three additions have been added to meet the needs of the growing Central Baldwin Community. The facility, now over 20,000 square feet, is home to Mack Funeral Home, Mack Crematory and Mack Funeral Home Monuments. The Mack Family takes pride in being Baldwin Counties oldest family owned funeral home.
